Richard Hedrick
Affable, stylish and easygoing, Richard Hedrick pours Bremer Family wines and explains them superbly. A gifted storyteller and conversationalist, Hedrick possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of wine and the Napa Valley.
Hedrick holds a master’s degree from Penn State in education, as well as a master’s in human resources from Columbia University. Prior to moving to the Napa Valley in 1996, he has enjoyed careers as a teacher, principal, chief personnel officer and human resources VP. Upon arrival in Napa, he joined the staff of the Frank-Rombauer Larkmead Cellars under the tutelage of Napa Valley icon and tasting room legend Dennis Zablosky. After spending five years in what would become Frank Family Vineyards, he became the first national sales manager of that company. He joined the Bremer team in time to help them open their new tasting room in early October, 2003.
Jonathan Niksa
Jonathan joined the Bremer team in the spring of 2007 and brings a variety of skills and abilities to the winery. Hospitality is in his blood, mixed equally with passion for great food and for great wine. Having grown up in Wisconsin, Jonathan finished his undergraduate degree there. Upon graduation he left Wisconsin and headed for New York where he attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park and pursued his passion for food academically. After cooking (and eating) his way up and down the east coast for more than a year he left for California. Both Jonathan and his wife joined another winery in the Napa Valley where she became the winery chef. Jonathan toiled in the cellar where he learned about operations and wine making. Surfacing at the Bremer Family Winery Jonathan can now be found working at many tasks in the old stone winery building. Going back to his life blood of hospitality, he can also be found pouring wines and hosting guests in our tasting room.
Juan Covarrubias
Juan has worked in various fields of the wine business.
Pam VaughanPam’s association with John and Laura Bremer began in 1991 when she assumed the position of office manager/accountant for a company John and Laura eventually sold. Pam chose to stay with the Bremers instead of assuming a role with the new owners. The relationship continued to grow and she became John’s go to person for all of the Bremer companies. Pam directed the parent company’s accounting department, coordinated financial management among the subsidiary corporations and administered personnel and other human resource activities.
Currently, Pam is charged with administrative duties for the corporation’s parent and subsidiary companies. In other words you will find her in the back office!
